Our Team
Behind the Scenes
“We founded Galant Abode with the inspiration of giving interior designers the behind the scenes support that keeps projects moving. Whether it be on a single project or a continuous basis, our goal is to provide each firm with the structure they need to be successful.”
Dina Wood
Founder & CEOComing from a long line of business owners, Dina has worked since her early teens in her family's record store, building a foundation of problem solving, curiosity, and an "I can figure it out” attitude. After working in the family business, Dina became a sponsored snowboarder, wardrobe and prop stylist which fed her love of adventure and creativity. From this, as the COO of a jewelry company she assisted the founder in building the entire business from the ground up, including international production and opening a retail location. Most recently Dina has run the operations of a medium sized construction company in Marin County and understands the complexity of designing and building.
This range shaped her specialty; business systems optimization and workflow efficiency. It led her to launch a systems reboot consulting line alongside Galant Abode's core services, helping design studios streamline their operations and expand their vision of success.
An avid art enthusiast, Dina can often be found creating in the ceramics studio, gardening in her breathtaking garden in San Anselmo and chasing around her miniature house hen, “Henny”.
Dina hails from a long line of Bay Area entrepreneurs and grew up in the throng of her grandfather’s restaurants which included Original Joe’s and Marin Joe’s.
Alice Cummings
With nearly 10 years in the interior design industry working for a small design firm, as well as managing her own international projects, paired with 12 years in hospitality management, Alice brings a rare combination of operational rigor and design-world fluency to every client relationship. As a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Alice specializes in identifying inefficiencies and building systems that help teams work smarter; from streamlined schedules and procurement processes to the everyday workflows and team structures that keep a design firm running without friction.
At Galant Abode, Alice and business partner Dina work behind the scenes so interior designers can stay focused on what they do best: creating beautiful spaces for their clients. Alice’s hospitality background instilled a deep commitment to service and attention to detail, while years immersed in the design industry gave her firsthand insight into the pressures designers face and how the right support can lift that weight entirely.
Outside our studio, Alice can usually be found on a trail with her two German Shorthair Pointers, Betty White and Bez, riding her horse Embaixador, or planning the next family adventure to somewhere far from home.
