Accessibility Statement

Galant Abode is committed to making galantabode.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard commonly used for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

What we have done

• Used text and background color combinations that meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.

• Provided text descriptions (alt text) for meaningful images.

• Labeled every field in our contact form.

• Built the site so it can be navigated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link.

• Used a responsive layout that works on phones, tablets and desktops and can be zoomed without loss of content.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review the site whenever we add or change content, and we continue to improve areas that fall short of the standard. Some content may not yet be fully accessible, and our site runs on the Squarespace platform, which we rely on for much of its underlying accessibility.
